So we thought it would be nice to see all kinds of different techniques! Just a quick reminder, you are only limited by your imagination! You can use any image for this challenge! Here is a little bit about Susan (Ike) and Ike's Art...

Hi there – I am Ike……a nickname that I got hooked with many years ago due to my surname, and in my profession at that time… they just loved to give nicknames J.

I am an artist and have a strange mind when it comes to creating my art. I either go completely true to life… right down to the last hair… or I go totally surreal. I have a passion for all things horror/Gothic etc. I’ve always loved horror films and books and I guess that’s why it creeps into my stuff!

I started my website a year ago and over this last year I have ventured into producing Digital Stamps under the label IKEsART.

I also have Digi’s available at Stitchy Bear Stamps under the same name. My images are very varied – it depends what mood I am in. You can find my more Gothic/Horror stamps at my Shop – I don’t want to scare off the customers in ‘normal’ sites LoL:-D But I also do cutesy; fantasy and ‘normal’ images… so don’t be put off! :-D

At the beginning of this year, I started a new Challenge site with a couple of great buddies of mine… ‘Quoth The Raven’ and we do challenges relating to the works of Edgar Allen Poe. I have my own Blog at Ikes World too, if you would like to visit me there.

Now here is a some information about Miranda!

My name is Miranda van den Bosch and I’m 46 years old. I have been drawing nearly all my life. At the age of 4 I was making drawings on a blackboard, but because my parents thought it was a pity that I had to erase all my drawings they got me paper and colour pencils. And I’ve never stopped drawing since. When I was little I used to draw portraits and Disney characters. After that I started to draw fairies and dragons. In time, I joined an art group and learned to draw nudes and still life portraits too. When I was in my 30ties I became interested in birds and started to draw them as well. And last year I published my first children’s book. It’s an ABC of birds and 26 birds tell you about birdlife in general. A good friend of mine wrote the text. About 2 years ago, I discovered card making and how I could use stamps with my colouring technique and style. I really enjoy colouring up all the cute images with watercolour or with regular colour pencils. Every week I discover new brands of stamps and I just decided to draw some digi stamps to see if other people liked them. A new world of being creative is opening up for me.

"Challenge #12 Holiday Wishes For Kids"

Good Morning Everyone! Welcome to Challenge #12 "Holiday Wishes For Kids"! We have partnered up with SAS4KIDS for this challenge! We would like to share some information about SAS4KIDS with you today...

Send A Smile 4 Kids is a charitable blog created for the purpose of collecting donated handmade cards to be distributed to children while they are inpatient at Children’s Hospitals. Currently SAS4Kids is donating them to the Children’s Hospitals in Neenah and Milwaukee, WI, University of Iowa Children's Hospital, Iowa City, IA, Blank Children's Hospital, Des Moines, IA, Sandford Children's Hospital, Sioux Falls, SD and to the B.C. Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia and the Stollery Children’s Hospital in Edmonton , Alberta in Canada. On any given day, there are many children inpatient in these hospitals, so SAS4Kids would love to receive as many cards as you can send to cheer them and their families. The kids may also use your cards as Thank You Notes to the nurses and doctors and to give to parents or relatives on special days like birthdays or Mothers or Fathers Day.

At this time SAS4Kids is hoping to receive enough Holiday cards so that every child in these hospitals on or around Christmas will receive a card to cheer them and their families. Please do not make your cards religion specific as the nurses do not always know what religion the child’s family is. Any cheery winter or holiday card would be great!

Send a Smile 4 Kids is going to be the featured charity in CardMaker Magazine’s January issue (on stands in December) in their Readers Reach Out section. We are thrilled to be helped by card drives such as this one at Paper Creations Ink and in the Cardmaker Magazine and look forward to receiving your cards to help cheer our kids.

We decided after getting a jump start on those Christmas/Holiday Projects that we would take a step back and go with a technique for this challenge! My name is Aletha Jane Williams; I live in Tulsa, OK or better known as “tornado alley.” I am a self-taught artist, still in the process of learning. I have been in the graphic arts/print production industry for many years. When I started in the industry we created everything manually, no computers involved. (Can you believe that? LOL!)

During my 15 years of experience in the “crafting/art” world I have created rubber stamped art, mixed media, and collage. In 2009, I became disabled and unable to work outside the home. I am taking this disability one day at a time. I concentrate on my health and my art. My creations will always involve rubber or digi stamps. I am an obsessive collector of stamps. I feel like I am collecting little pieces of art that I can use to create my own art. My other hobbies include cross stitching, reading, trying to get on the treadmill every day, collecting (besides stamps) cardstock and designer papers. Will I ever use all the stamps and paper? No, but we will be able to sell some of it for retirement! LOL! I have an Etsy Shop, http://ajsdesigns.etsy.com, but I am not getting rich off that. LOL!
